Today, we’re making Gemini for Google TV even more capable, so your screen does the heavy lifting for you. These updates deliver richer visual answers, helpful deep dives, and timely sports updates, so you can explore the topics you love, without all the searching. 1

Get richer visual help when you need it

Gemini for Google TV now adapts to your question with a more relevant response. Need sports scores? You’ll see a live scorecard & where to watch. Looking for a recipe? You’ll get a video tutorial. From movie titles to dinner plans, Gemini pulls together the perfect mix of visuals, videos, and text to help you find exactly what you need, when you need it.

Learn something new with deep dives

When you want to explore your curiosities a bit further, you can use Gemini to get deep dives — narrated visual breakdowns on educational topics such as health & wellness, economics, technology, and more. From deconstructing the physiological impacts of cold plunging to illustrating how matcha is created from scratch, Gemini delivers a custom, interactive walkthrough with guided follow-up questions for you and your family to check out on the big screen together. Deep dives give you the option to turn passive viewing into meaningful screen time, enabling you to interact with the subjects that fascinate you most. To explore something new, just ask Gemini and click “Dive deeper” or visit the Gemini tab at the top of your Home screen and select “Learn.”

Catch up with timely sports briefs

Last year, we introduced news briefs to help you catch up on the latest headlines in just a few minutes. Now, we’re expanding our briefs collection to include sports briefs ― perfect for the fans who live for the highlights, but can’t always catch the live action. Instead of scrolling through endless sports feeds on your phone, get timely, narrated overviews of your favorite in-season leagues starting with the NBA, NCAA basketball, NHL, MLB, MLS, and NWSL. From player news to quick game summaries, stay caught up on every game so you’re ready for the next tip-off. Easily find your full line-up of sports briefs in the Gemini tab.

Richer visual help from Gemini begins rolling out today to Gemini-enabled devices in the U.S. and Canada. You can also start exploring deep dives and sports briefs on Gemini-enabled devices in the U.S., with broader device support arriving this spring.

We’re also excited to bring the Gemini for Google TV voice assistant to more countries throughout the year, starting with Australia, New Zealand and Great Britain this spring.
