Our latest Google TV updates bring new features that add a spark of creativity to your living room — and soon a new way to watch short videos. Whether you’re bringing hilarious ideas to life, reliving your favorite moments from your Google Photos library or kicking back to watch snackable clips on the big screen, these updates are designed to help you connect, create and share laughs together. Here’s what’s new:

1. Turn your wild ideas into images

We’re unlocking the TV’s potential as a shared creative canvas. With Nano Banana, you can add twists to any photo, transport yourself to a new city or make the room laugh by creating something entirely new. Try saying, “Make my dad wear a ridiculous outfit” to add a fun spin to a family photo. To get started, visit the Gemini 1 tab and select “Create.”

2. Make fun videos with family and friends

With Veo, you can also generate custom videos directly on your TV. Whether you want to create a new clip from scratch or add motion to an existing image, just describe what you’re looking for and let Veo do the rest. It’s a cool way to get creative with family and friends. Try saying, “Make my grandfather moonwalk in space” to see your imagination come to life on the big screen. To get started, visit the Gemini tab and select “Create.”

Starting today, Nano Banana 1 and Veo 1 are coming first to Gemini-enabled TCL Google TVs in the U.S.

3. Search Google Photos with your voice

We're making it much easier to view your favorite photos on the largest screen in the house. You can now ask Gemini to find specific moments hidden in your Google Photos library — like a recent vacation or a birthday party. Gemini will pull up a browsable results page, helping you effortlessly pinpoint and view a particular shot full-screen or start a slideshow.

4. Remix Google Photos on your TV

Once you find the perfect shot, you can give it a new look with Google Photos Remix 1 . Choose from artistic styles like watercolor or oil painting to add a fresh spin to your photos.

5. Enjoy dynamic slideshows with Google Photos

When you aren’t streaming or creating, you can transform your TV into a beautiful gallery of your best moments. Simply turn any Google Photos album into a dynamic slideshow to view your pictures in stunning collages and colors. To get started, visit your screensaver settings under “Quick Settings” and select Google Photos as the source.

Google Photos search and Remix are rolling out first to Gemini-enabled devices in the U.S. Dynamic slideshows 2 will be available on eligible Google TV devices globally.

6. Get short videos directly on your Home page

Watching short clips has become a daily go-to for many of us, which is why we're making it easier than ever to kick back and enjoy them right on your TV. Coming soon, Google TV will bring a brand-new "Short videos for you" row directly to your Home page. Just jump in to get a personalized feed of snackable videos, starting with YouTube Shorts. This row will roll out to U.S. Google TV devices this summer.
