During this year’s Venice International Film Festival, Google’s 100 ZEROS team — which partners with filmmakers to explore emerging tech — supported three groundbreaking Extended Reality (XR) projects. They’re all meant to be experienced on Android XR and leverage tools like conversational AI powered by Gemini and Vertex AI, spatial film and 3D stereoscopic depth to expand the canvas of storytelling while keeping human creativity at the center.

Discover the lineup:

NEVATARS: A mixed-reality animated short by Andy Serkis filled with Gemini-powered conversations and interactive moments that tell a story about embracing your creative voice.Galápagos: The Last Eden: An immersive XR journey narrated by Margot Robbie that brings nature to life and invites viewers to interact with a Gemini powered, digital Charles Darwin.Sedona: A psychological thriller teaser by Asylm Studios that uses Google’s 2D-to-3D XR auto-spatialization technology to dive straight into suspense on YouTube.
