Build pathways to new careers: Through Google Cloud, we've trained over 23,000 active service members and contractors with our
Google Cloud Days programs and
Google Skills platform. We also offer
Google Launchpad for Veterans, a training program which helped over 4,000 service members last year; the next session starts November 13-14, 2025, and will focus on helping participants become certified Generative AI Leaders. Through Grow with Google, there are over one million
Google Career Certificate graduates globally, and tens of thousands of program graduates in the U.S. identify as service members, military spouses, or veterans.
Supporting service members with new skills: We host the
Google SkillBridge Program, an immersive 12-week fellowship for transitioning service members. In partnership with Hiring Our Heroes, this program embeds fellows directly into Google teams to build new skills. To date, we have supported the transition of over 200 SkillBridge fellows, providing a vital bridge to post-military careers.
Accelerate the transition to civilian life: Our annual
Google Veterans Career Week is a no-cost virtual event offering thousands of veterans and military partners advice and training to accelerate their civilian careers. The event features industry panels, hands-on training and personal resume reviews from thousands of Google volunteers.
Supporting organizations helping the veteran community: Beyond direct training, we are focused on strengthening the organizations that serve the military community. Google.org has provided over $50 million to impactful veteran-focused non-profits. This year we’ve given
Beneath the Service,
SOTERIA Precision Medicine Foundation,
VetsinTech and
VetSec $125k each to support their missions of serving the military community. On November 5,
Grow with Google collaborated with
Blue Star Families and
American Corporate Partners to host a livestream during
National Veterans Small Business Week that featured an AI workshop and reached over 1,000 veteran entrepreneurs. To help ease the transition from service, Google Public Sector also partnered with the
ETS Sponsorship Program to launch
Onward Ops, a Google Cloud-based platform for tailored job training.
Building connection through technology: To help service members separated from their families during long deployments, we are
launching a pilot program with the USO using
Google Beam. This true-to-life 3D video communication platform, powered by Google AI, helps to create a lifelike, immersive experience so service members can share important moments with loved ones. Starting next year, we are working to bring
Google Beam to USO centers in the US and around the world.
These initiatives are fueled by volunteers and the veteran-supportive community within our own ranks at Google. This culture of support is one of the reasons Forbes recently ranked Google #2 for the Best American Employers for Veterans. Whether helping with career transitions, expanding networks beyond the military or supporting military spouses in their careers — despite countless moves — I’m proud to be part of a company that puts its pride for the military community into action.
